Here is a total of 9.65cts of tanzanite averaging 2.41cts each. the largest is approximately 2.8cts. and well shaped. The color saturation is even better than the pictures. Two of these stones are not the best shape for yield but still will cut a nice stone and at a price of $15 a carat you really can’t go wrong. This size of stone is getting harder and harder to find since the Tanzanian ban on exporting uncut stones over 1ct. a few years ago. The price of tanzanite rough and cut stones keeps going up and up. The supply of material in the ground is running out and the supplies out of the ground is getting insane prices. I honestly do not know when I will be able to get more of this rough. I would recommend getting this size and larger stones when you can. This rough is being sold as a parcel for just $144.75 |
