Sunset Tourmaline |

This is some of that nice sunset tourmaline from Africa. The colors are ranging from a bright yellow to deep yellow some with light green on the A-B axis and a medium yellow, orange, to brown on the C-axis. Most of these stones have a fairly good color saturation with a few having a pretty dark saturation. Most of these stones are eye clean with the rest capable of cutting eye clean with planing or a slight loss of yield. A look on the net shows this type of material is selling for between $2.00 and $5.00 a carat. Here at gems and rough we are selling this facet rough for just $1.50 a carat with around 150 carats available. |
