Ruby Cabbing And Carving Rough |

This ruby rough is from Africa and makes great cabbing, inlay, intarsia or carving rough. It has good color and comes in larger pieces. Some of this ruby rough seems as though it may star if oriented properly. But since I have not cut any to see if it will please do not buy it expecting it to. Some of this rough has green zoisite as a skin but it’s not too thick as seen in the above picture. These are for the most part very large pieces the largest being over 700 grams. This ruby rough is being sold at just $0.15 a gram. There is about 2 kilos available. |
