This is some light but very nicely colored amethyst from Brazil. It’s darker than rose de France so it will cut a lively and colorful stone with a little more flavor than rose de France. 85+% of these stones will cut eye clean to very slightly included stones with little if any planing most being eye clean. The rest will cut eye clean with a slightly higher loss of yield. This amethyst is a bargain for the size and color. This material is ranging between 19cts and 135cts. the avarage stone is around 40cts. This material is very affordable at just $0.20 a carat, $0.18per carat if you buy the entire parcel or what is left when you place your order. There is approximately 2,795cts available. |
