Chatoyant Malachite |

This is some malachite rough from Argentina. It has some fantastic chatoyancy in the darker bands. The color is a very pleasant malachite green with some turquoise coloring on the outside skin. I have 2 stones available that I picked up as a test to see how well these will sell. You will be very pleased with either of these stones whether you are a carver or a cabber. Especially with the low price of just $.08 a gram. Or both for $.07 a gram They both have multiple nodules which makes for great carving, polished specimens, and of course cabochons. Stone#1 $36.80 (on the top) approximately 460 grams. This stone has a very good color and nice bands of chatoyancy. Stone#2 $43.92 (on the bottom) Approximately 549 grams most of this stone is covered with a turquoise colored skin but where you can see the malachite it shows even wider bands of chatoyancy than the top stone. |
