Bastnaesite: Facet Grade rough |

I received a very small parcel of this very rare facet grade Bastnaesite rough, straight from Pakistan. This faceting rough is very hard to get, and is only going to get harder to find in the months and years ahead. Only recently were the deposits found in Pakistan containing this faceting rough in sizes large enough to facet stones of significant sizes. This gem rough is highly sought after by faceters and collectors around the world. I have recently seen one carat slightly included bastnaesite cut stones selling for $500+ct. This price will most likely go even higher in the near future as the mines are starting to become depleted of Bastnaesite and are expected to be exhausted in the very near future if not already. When this parcel is gone I don’t know when or if I will be able to purchase any more! The prices are: Under 5cts. Eye clean $15ct, Slightly included $7.50ct. Included and still facetable $4.95ct. Over 5cts. Slightly included $14ct., Included and still facetable $6.95ct. This rare Bastnaesite facet rough is being sold by the single stone.
