This amethyst is from brazil and is a beautiful light purple, with some almost a light rose. The stones are mostly well over 25cts. in size with a large portion exceeding 50cts. One even exceeds 250cts. some stones do have an inclusion or two but the large majority should facet out with very little if any extra loss for eye clean stones. The price of this material is excellent for the size, and color. This material is being sold on a blind pour. There is approximately 3,100 cts available. A-1=$0.15 per carat: Mostly clean stones with some stones having inclusions that should facet out with very little to no extra loss of yield. A-2=$0.12 per carat: same great material but will have some larger inclusions that will cause you to cut slightly included to eye clean stones with some extra losses to yield of stone. These stones are actually a bargain and large clean stones will be cut from most of this material. |
