Afghan Spess\ Hess Garnet Rough |

This is some more of that fantastic Spessartite \ Hessonite garnet mix. It ranges in color from the mandarin garnet to the tangerine garnet and cuts like a dream. Due to the high refractive index of this material it cuts very bright , and flashy stones. Also because of the the high refractive index of this garnet many of the inclusions are fairly easy to hide so the finished stones even if included have the possibility of looking great. This material is generally an included variety of Garnet with eye clean rough hard to find. I have divided this material into 3 grades ranging in price from $1.25 a carat to $0.10 gram*. The pictures above show the varied colors in this mix. |

A1=$1.25ct: This Material will cut fantastic eye clean to slightly included stones. The sizes range from 1ct. up to 3+ct. There is approximately 53+cts. available The average size is 2cts. |

B1=$0.50ct: This is included facetable stones that should produce near eyeclean to slightly included stones with lower than normal return, or moderately to heavy included finished stones with normal yield. There is 159cts approximately available. |
